Blue Fire: Rappelz Review

Introduction

You all know who I am so I'll cut to the chase and get down to the bear facts. Rappelz is an MMORPG published by gpotato, one of many online game publishing companies hell bent on taking over the world. (Just Kidding) But Rappelz Rupees has something different about it that makes it a very special game, not only is the combat, although slightly slow atfirst, becomes just gorgeous at later levels and (I know I say this alot) Drop dead gorgeous graphics of the highest calibur. Now, I'm a novel writer and am currently in the works of 4 projects, so I know artistry when I see it. You can see all sorts of little details in the game and awesome features, truly...this game is creativity personified.

Gameplay

As per Blue Fire tradition, I will start with gameplay first and how satysfying it is to see your unstoppable killing machine run amok in the world of Rappelz killing every monster in his/her path. Combat isn't much different from other online games such as FlyFF or Holic Online, but what it doesn't have in originality, it makes up for in style, every form of attack you use leaves you in awe having eveything from you simplest attack to the most powerful spell be demonstrated with BEAUTIFUL special effects that will have your enemies BEGGING for mercy. It also has two systems in here that are in other games, but everyone can enjoy them early this time around, the weakening sytem using "chips" and of course, the pet system. Chips are used like normal items, however must be assigned to a hotkey slate to work and then you must target a monster in order to use it, however, when it is used on a monster, for 10 seconds, your attack power or magic power (Depending on the chip you used) will double on that monster, making it easier to kill it, plus your normal attack also has better special effects on it too. The Pet system is also alot of fun, you have your creature, but not right away, first you need to get a special capture card. As a side note, only certain monsters can be captured and you need a specific card to be able to capture these tamable monsters, for example, in order to capture a Pantera, you need a Pantera CARD. Once you've captured the Pantera, the capture card becomes the creature card and then you need to equip it onto your creature roster and then all you have to do is summon it using your summoning spell. Creatures will fight monster beside you as a life long comrad, partner and friend. Take note however that in it's early stages of servitude, these guys aren't very powerful and they die easily, but luckily, the creature only needs to be summoned to recieve exp, it's just too bad it takes to long to level them up. Guilds and Parties are naturally present i this game and you are able to have your own custom banner in this guild to give it individuality, you also have a wide variety of equipment ranging from axes, bows, swords, hammers and more, and you also have armor like Plate, Leather, Chain and Steel. You also have mounts in the game and you get them early in the game also considering how big the world is, I'm serious, the size of the world rivals that of World of Warcraft! Only difference is that Rappelz's world is STILL growing free of charge, whereas you need to buy expansions to get more out of Azeroth in World of Warcraft...and please don't ask me to review that game...
